  • In today's highly polarized world, teaming up in an audio-visual project to set out on a mission to combat domestic violence and human trafficking is not just commendable, but also transformative. Experiences of Jeremiah Wilber, a retired Green Beret mountain man and the co-founder of non-profit organizations, War Party Movement, and War Party Ranch. With his authentic experiences, history of service, and perspectives on these profound issues, Jeremiah creates a profound impact in society.

    Unmasking the Influencer World

Jeremiah kicks off the conversation with interesting anecdotes from his recent participation at a Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. Surrounded by influencers advertising various products from hunting gear to mountain equipment, he noticed how real people "actually doing things" were typically overshadowed by influencers adept at creating engaging content for the camera.

However, Jeremiah stands as a testament to the power of genuine connections and authenticity in a space overrun by influencers. He emphasized the significance of real-life experience and authenticity, a stance evident in his successful connections formed during the show. He acknowledges that there is an incredible level of grit, toughness, and reality behind the camera-perfect images, especially when it comes to veterans.

    Highlighting Retired Service Members

The conversation shifted to the plights of retiring service members. While each transition from the military is unique, one common thread connects them: the struggle to find new 'reps' or purpose in their civilian lives. To bridge this gap, Jeremiah suggests redirecting their focus to practical, hands-on activities, emphasizing the valuable lessons veterans can share from their experiences.

    Redefining Adversity Through Living

A significant part of Jeremiah's philosophy is the importance of adversity. He talks about leading a cowboy lifestyle, which requires physical strength, resilience, and a willingness to start over often. Jeremiah believes that taking on difficulties and learning new skills isn't just about stepping out of one's comfort zone - it's about constantly staying in a state of learning and growth, welcoming new experiences with open arms.

The Power of Volunteerism and Community Building at War Party Ranch

Jeremiah passionately speaks about his charitable endeavors, particularly the War Party Ranch, one aimed at helping victims of domestic violence. They empower women through horsemanship, hunting, martial arts, and weapons training. The camaraderie formed within this community of women serves as a stepping stone towards healing.

Ending Note: A Call for Support and Awareness

The conversation ends with a call for more public awareness and increased support. Domestic violence and human trafficking remain alarmingly prevalent and talking about them openly is the first step towards making a shift. Even volunteering time, not just resources, can make a huge difference. With more people shedding light on these issues, Jeremiah's hope is for an increasing number of stories to feature redemption, justice, and ultimately, women's empowerment. Above all, he stresses the need for everyone to lead with empathy, understanding, and respect.

Giving society a peek into these realities leaves an admonition about the stark challenges in society. Jeremiah’s passion and mission are truly an inspiration, reminding people of the transformative power of authenticity, storytelling, and most importantly, taking actions guided by empathy and honor.
