Nikki Sjoden - also known as “2K’s,” is a fourth-generation Colorado native with a deep, lifelong connection to the mountains and the natural world. For Nikki, the outdoors is her temple—whether she’s hiking, practicing outdoor meditation and yoga, snowboarding, splitboarding, riding motorcycles, exploring the backcountry, or simply unplugging from the grid. Nature is where she finds clarity, grounding, and true balance. After a successful 20-year career as an insurance broker, Nikki felt a strong calling toward a more purpose-driven path—one centered on healing, wellness, and helping others reconnect with themselves from the inside out. That calling became clear after spending 10 months in New Zealand in 2016, where she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training and took the first steps toward launching her mountain-based health and wellness coaching work. Nikki is the founder of the coaching program Energy in Motion and is currently developing a new offering set to launch in 2026, called The Harmonic Being Method—a program designed to support holistic alignment of mind, body, and energy. She is also a nutrition school graduate and integrates nutritional education, movement, and mindfulness into both her personal life and her work with clients. She is the founder of Harmony Yoga + Wellness Steamboat Springs, where she guides others through movement, mindfulness, and holistic healing. In addition, Nikki is the host of the podcast Here We Grow, where she explores a wide range of topics centered on human health, wellness, and personal growth. In this powerful and deeply human conversation, Nikki opens up about her recent battle with invasive melanoma, sharing the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of the journey—and what it has meant to move into remission. Her story is one of resilience, perspective, and profound gratitude for life, health, and the healing power of community and nature. Nikki Sjoden sits down with Bobby Marshall to discuss human health, wellness, outdoor recreation, cancer treatment, family, Colorado mountain life, and the mindset required to keep moving forward—no matter the challenge.
